Fighting Phat

I need to lose weight and this blog is about my fight against fat. I was 145 kgs (319lbs) at the start of my quest. My goal is to lose 45 kgs (99lbs) of fat. I will be posting my experiences, exercise charts, nutrition plans, and weight on a regular basis to track my progress towards my goal weight of 100 kgs (222lbs). I hope that there are some people out there that might want to join me, post comments, or who may find my blog helpful for any weight loss they may wish to achieve.

Day Off From the Gym Today

It’s my day off from the gym today.  I think it is important to have rest built into your workout plan to allow for recovery and to allow my body to adjust to the drastic increase in exercise levels.  My shins and knee might have time to sort themselves out and I may be able to go a bit harder tomorrow morning when I hit the gym.

Those of you that have been visiting my web site will have noticed that I have now included some spreadsheets on the spreadsheets page.  The first spreadsheet records my progress and has my data entered onto it.  You’ll notice that I have used the measurements that were taken during the second week of my fight against fat, as the measurements that I started with when I weighed 145 kilos.  These are not accurate, and you’ll see that they cause a rise in my body fat percentage between the first and second weeks.  This wouldn’t have occurred and is due to using the same measurements for two weeks.  As I wanted the spreadsheet to cover my entire fight against fat, and the weight loss I experience during the diet I had to improvise.  Be sure to check it out, it will be updated weekly and you can download the spreadsheet directly from the second link on my links from this blog.

Also on the spreadsheets page are template versions of the spreadsheet that I used which you will find are prepared for men and women.  I have found that the spreadsheet is a very good way to keep track of your progress with your weight.  Keep an eye on the spreadsheet as each week it will be updated and you can download my stats by clicking on the link on this page, or you can visit my web site and check it out direct from the source.

I will be completing the design of my cardio workout spreadsheet today and you can expect to see the first version of this available for downloading both at the fightingphat site, and from this blog on Monday.  I will post the cardio spreadsheet that contains my data on this blog, and the template version will be posted on the web site for anyone that wants to use it.  Make sure to come back then to see the spreadsheet.

Have a great weekend everyone, I’m hoping to reach my first short term goal this week of being under 140 kilos.
